The Eight Verses of Thought Transformation with Ven. Yönten
If ever there was a time for exploring way to radically reframe difficult experiences, it would be now. Buddhism is famous for its “Thought Transformation/Mind Training/ lo-jong” techniques. One of the most succinct and and pithy texts of this genre is The Eight Verses of Thought Transformation.
This root text was written by the eleventh-century meditator Langri Tangpa Dorje Senghe. His Holiness the Dalai Lama refers to this work as one of the main sources of his own inspiration and includes it in his daily meditations. It remains deeply relevant to practitioners of all levels.
The course will include live presentation, guided meditations and time for questions. Once registered we will provide you with the Zoom link and course materials via email. This course will be offered over two Saturday mornings on 22 and 29 May 2021. You can join the class from the safety and comfort of your own home and tune in from anywhere around the world! If internet access is an issue for you, or you would just like to join us as a group, please let us know, as we can facilitate access to zoom at a student’s house which will be followed by a light lunch and discussion.
