This month Wai Cheong will teach on the fundamentals of Buddhist philosophy.

‘The 4 Seals of Authenticity’

There are four characteristics that qualify the Buddhist Path. They are called “the Four Seals of Dharma.”

1. All compounded things are impermanent.

2. All emotions are painful.

3. All phenomena are empty; they are without inherent existence. This is actually the ultimate view

of Buddhism; the other three are grounded on this third seal.

4. The fourth seal is that nirvana is beyond extremes.

Without these four seals, the Buddhist path would become theistic, religious dogma, and its whole purpose would be lost. This workshop asks you to question deeply, discovering for yourself what is real & what is a fabrication of the mind, what binds us to suffering, what frees us from it.
