Kunsang Yeshe Retreat Centre
‘Spirit of Enquiry’ (S.O.I) is a series of talks from invited guest speakers presenting topics feeding the enquiring mind.
You can expect talks on: Mind/Science, East/West Psychology, Body/Mind Health Issues, 21st Century Buddhism, plus more.
This Month, the wonderful Renate Ogilvie will be giving a talk on “Overcoming Anxiety and Depression”.
This gentle workshop will address one of the major problems of modern life – our pervasive anxiety, and even depression in a culture of unstoppable progress and material affluence.
The more we are promised happiness the sadder and more unhappy we become.
Using the ancient wisdom teachings of the Buddha we will look at ways of becoming our own therapists by learning to use the power of our own mind.
We will look at simple meditation techniques that support the insights of modern neuroscience.
There will be discussion and Q&A, with questions very much encouraged!
