“The lamrim is the essence of all the Buddhist teachings, and shows how to put into practice all of the various scriptures: Hinayana, Mahayana, and Tantrayana. Although there are many different sutras and tantras by the Buddha, and many commentaries on these, the lamrim arranges the entire path in stages, in a practical manner, so that individuals can go from the beginning all the way up to enlightenment.” – Geshe Lhundub Sopa
The retreat will be residential giving the opportunity for you to stay and focus practice and learning over the 4 days. We also have places for people that would like to attend during the day either for the full retreat or on select days. Full course materials will be provided. The retreat will be run at the beautiful Karuna Retreat Centre in Katoomba.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be guided by a Buddhist Geshe and to build strong practice with a supporting community of fellow practitioners – the retreat is open to all levels of students.
We hope you can join us for what will be a wonderful retreat.
Teacher: those who have been fortunate enough to be here for Geshe Sherab’s teachings on his previous visits to the Centre will be delighted to hear he is returning. His insight and his warm, accessible manner allow him to connect easily and effectively with Western students. Geshe-la teaches in English.
