Buddhist Perspectives, long a feature of our programme, provides the opportunity to explore key texts and commentaries from the rich Tibetan and Nalanda traditions in more extensive way. Ven Paldron-la has kindly offered to facilitate study of the Four Noble Truths as the final, concise series for this year.
This teaching will run weekly starting November 9th and concluding on December 14th
The Four noble truths were the subject matter of the first teaching the Buddha gave after he attained enlightenment. His Holiness the Dalai Lama, says that they are the blue print for all Buddhist teaching and practice. Within them lies the root of all Buddhist philosophy and the entire path to enlightenment. Whatever we study after the four noble truths will echo back to this most essential teaching, and conversely this teaching will be revealed in everything else we study. The opportunity to become familiar with this foundational text is not to be missed.
